How a sketch on social media post led to a custom artwork commission
I recently had a client, who saw one of my sketches on social media and it resonated with him so much, that he commissioned me to draw one for him and his wife. The place featured in my sketch was Lo De Facu in Marbella outskirts – a very special to me and this person, which is why he wanted me as well.
It was an exciting project, and I am thrilled to share the process with you.
Client`s wishes and initial sketches
The first step was to discuss the client’s vision for the drawing. He wanted to place himself and his wife in the scene, as that place meant so much to them.
With this in mind, I went to work on some sketches. I drew several different variations, each with a slightly different look. We reviewed these designs together, and the client provided feedback on what he liked and what he wanted to change.
After a couple of revisions, we had a final design that perfectly suited the client’s vision. The design included him and his wife sitting at the table in their favorite place.
The drawing begins
Once the design was finalized, it was time to start drawing. I had my original sketch and new designs in front of me, so I began to draw.
The drawing process took a couple of days, but it was worth it. I was able to bring the client’s vision to life, and the drawing looked stunning.
Result and the feedback
The client was extremely happy with the end result. He felt that the drawing perfectly captured the moment that he shared with his wife. It was rewarding to see how much he appreciated the final product, and I was very happy to have played a role in bringing his vision to life and preserving that special moment for them both.
Creating this drawing was an incredibly fulfilling experience. It allowed me to express my creativity and bring happiness to my client. I look forward to working on more projects like this in the future.
